How Do I Live At EHA?
To live at EHA you must qualify for subsidized/low-income housing. The United States Department of Housing and Urban Development [HUD] defines public housing as decent and safe rental housing for low-income families, the elderly, and persons with disabilities. We determine if you are eligible based on HUD definitions. Your eligibility is based on your annual gross income and whether you qualify as elderly, a person with a disability, or a family. How Many Properties Does EHA Have?
We currently have 3 properties located throughout Elmira, New York. George E. Bragg Towers is composed of 126 apartments, primarily one-bedroom unites, for the elderly and disabled. Edward Flannery Apartments is composed of 209 one bedroom apartments. Hoffman Plaza is composed of 144 family apartments, single and two-story units with various amounts of bedroom and housing styles such as bungalows and rowhouses.
